A little about who I am, where I come from, and why I started writing.
THE BEGINNING
Where It All Started
I grew up surrounded by women who dressed with intention — not for occasion, but for themselves. My grandmother pressed her blouses on Sunday evenings. My mother kept one silk scarf folded in the top drawer of her dresser. Style, in my family, was a quiet language spoken between people who cared about small things.
THE JOURNAL
Why I Write
I started writing about fashion and beauty because I kept noticing a gap between the glossy certainty of magazines and the actual, uncertain, sometimes embarrassing experience of getting dressed. I wanted to close that gap — to write about style the way you talk about it with a trusted friend: honestly, slowly, without pretending anything is simpler than it is.
MY PHILOSOPHY
Buy less. Choose well. Keep things for a long time.
Everything I share here — whether it is a dress, a perfume, or a way of arranging a room — passes through the same filter: does it make daily life feel more considered, more pleasant, more like mine? If yes, I write about it. If not, I stay quiet.
Honesty
I only write about things I have actually used, worn, or lived with. Affiliate links are disclosed. Opinions are my own.
Slowness
I am not a trend reporter. I am interested in the things that stay — in style, in beauty, in the way a home feels after years of small, good decisions.
Warmth
This is a personal journal, not a platform. I write to the reader as I would to a friend — with care, with a little vulnerability, and without performing expertise I do not have.
